The butterfly's song

Article Abstract:

Butterfly species are given elaborate names that supposedly approximate their beauty. New England has around 200 species of butterflies, though they are seldom appreciated as much as other animals. This may be because they add to beauty where they are without being noticed much themselves.

Two cheers for tire chains

Article Abstract:

A man describes how he had to use tire chains in winter to get up the steep driveway of the house he used to live in. It was a terrible ordeal getting the chains on and off in bitter cold weather, but at least they would work and in a strange way he misses using them.
