California journal's roundtable on the environment

Article Abstract:

A roundtable discussion on environmental priorities was held with some of California's leading experts participating. The central issue was the difficulty of meeting environmental challenges in the face of the state's financial crisis whilst the importance of making private sector investment economically viable was highlighted.

The Attorney General of California analyzes the reasons behind the California recall election and states why he voted for Arnold Schwarzenegger. He advises his fellow Democrats to heed the lessons of the election and hopes for the development of a political climate, which would encourage voters into civic participation.
