Network assessment shows GAO staff receive quality service at good price
Article Abstract:
The results of an analysis of the GAO's computer system conducted by Gartner Group is presented. The report concludes that the GAO system costs less than half of equivalent systems in the private sector while providing excellent support to GAO staff.

Facilitating preparation and processing of tax returns: the 2D bar code solution

An article about the use of 2D bar coding to improve paper-based tax collection systems is presented. New XBRL software is able to bar code tax information on the paper return itself to make it machine-readable.
