Performance reporting-what does it mean to AGA and you?

The Academy of Government Accountability (AGA) has in collaboration with other organizations to promote programs that help in enhancing market reporting technique. AGA's Certificate of Excellence in Accountability Reporting (CEAR) Program and Certificate of Excellence in Service Efforts and Accomplishments Reporting (SEA) Program are two such programs that help governments describe their achievements in reporting on government service delivery and value added for taxpayers

Shortage of accountants: Is education to blame

Article Abstract:

A review on three studies published by the American Accounting Association (AAA) that suggests accounting education is broken and in need of a complete reorientation is presented. A comment is provided on what is perceived to be problems with the hiring procedures of government agencies that may lessen their ability to compete with private industry and accounting firms for available accounting graduates.

AGA's mission supports education and research to advance government accountability

Article Abstract:

A study to solve a question that is raised on what sets Association of Government Accountants (AGA) apart from many other associations is conducted. The results show that AGA is committed to providing comprehensive education programs to its members and to conducting quality research to meet the changing needs of the government accountability profession.
