Preventing organizational ethical collapse

Article Abstract:

Studies of collapsed corporations reveal the common threads that predict ethical collapse, which is basically due to the struggle to meet the goal, which impairs their decision-making. The seven factors that contribute to ethical collapse that are common to organizations, whether for profit, nonprofit or government agency are discussed in detail.

Financial management shared services: A guide for federal users

Most of federal agencies are considering using some form of shared services as they modernize, update or replace their financial management services. Reasons for shared services include cost reduction, standardization, maintaining unqualified opinions on financial statements and other things.

The government accounting professionals are introduced to the ethical concept of moral imagination. It is suggested that the active use of imagination and creative thinking can help lead to the right ethical decision.
