Sensitivity analysis for DEA models: an empirical example using public vs NFP hospitals
Article Abstract:
Data envelopement analysis (DEA) is used to evaluate the relative efficiency of not-for-profit hospitals. The results from this sensitivity analysis showed that public hospitals are more technically efficient compared to non-profit hospitals but these results do not include other variables. Noninclusion of other possible specifications is one of the limitation of this method but its empirical findings suggest the robustness of DEA.
