'True' integration growing, evolving in CCTV and monitoring

Article Abstract:

"True integration," or the use of RS-232 type connectors to obtain feedback from a device that is being monitored or controlled by manipulating a relay or contact closure, is growing and evolving in CCTV and monitoring industry, according to Steven T. Kuntz, national sales manager for Gyyr of Anaheim, CA. Kuntz added that a closed circuit of the entire CCTV system's components, such as recorders, pan/tilt and multiplexer, as a single system will keep on evolving. Gyyr's new product is an improved version of its AXxess 202 security management system, which enables to integrate CCTV with the TLC2100-S16 timelapse recorder of Gyyr.

The password continues to be the most used means of computer security system in corporate offices according to a survey conducted by SECURITY Magazine. The survey, which reveals that 82% of security directors use passwords, also revealed the use of other techniques for protecting computer centers and other data storage areas.
