Information on planned government subsidies to expand health coverage to the uninsured under the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) of 1985 is offered. Additional information on COBRA-LOAN subsidies to offer health coverage to the uninsured is included.

A shared responsibility: U.S. employers and the provision of health insurance to employees

Article Abstract:

The positive aspects of employer driven health care policies are highlighted and need to formulate health policies that are conducive to such form of health insurance is discussed. Employer driven health care results in a natural risk pool that can provide better risk cover at much lower cost unlike individual insurance and it is also much valued by the employees.
