Guide to using masked design variables to estimate standard errors in public use files of the National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey and the National Hospital Ambulatory Medical Care Survey

Article Abstract:

How to use masked design variables to compute standard errors in three software applications are described. When masking overstates or understates "in-house" standard errors, and how it affects the significance levels of point estimates and logistics regression parameters, is discussed.

Incentives and physician specialty choice: a case study of Florida's program in medical sciences

The effect of the decreased number of physician workforce in the medically underserved areas is studied. The statistics that analyze the increased number of physicians and the improvement in their per capita from 1975-2000 in Florida is presented.
