Health care 'R' us

Article Abstract:

Sutter Health System, based in Sacramento, CA, has medical treatment centers called 'medical malls' in suburban areas such as Orangevale and Laguna, CA. These centers will offer routine care for a relatively young population, with emergency and critically ill patients referred to the company's nearby hospitals. Patients can register at the treatment center and visit various clinics within the complex. Sutter expects to profit from efficient procedures and controlled expenses.
