Hospital economic forecast

Article Abstract:

The economic conditions based on the gross national product reflect the positive aspects of the recovery. The new Medicare disbursement cap will change the rate of payment but because of the formula will not immediately decrease the rate of payment. Hospital costs will be contained by lower inflation rates.

The future of the hospital industry is examined in light of current economic realities and future predictions. Inflation, interest rates, capital bond markets, and the future of Reaganomics are discussed in relation to hospitals.
