Noteworthy: Neurology - Stem Cells and Parkinson's Disease - New Hope?

Article Abstract:

Research has shown that rats suffering from Parkinson's do respond to treatment with stem cells. However, harvesting the required amount of cells for use in humans would be problematic. Expected U.S. laws could future limit the use of this therapy.

Drug therapies for HIV patients should be selected and monitored carefully to ensure that they provide maximum suppression of viral replicatrion to prevent the increasing prevalence of drug-resistant strains of HIV.
