Article Abstract:

Ten tips for the successful implementation of organizational change are presented. They are: cost and risk assessment, establishing a change-oriented mission and developing the will to sustain it, identification of key roles, sponsor recruitment, training of change agents, implementing the concept of synergy in team building, development of strategies to cope with resistance, development of techniques to handle emotional reactions to change, effective communication of change and a thorough understanding of corporate culture.

Accelerating momentum for change!

Article Abstract:

The process of management change at Raleigh, NC-based Exide Electronics Corp. is described. The company had chosen the path of employee involvement and customer-centered development. The greatest challenge the organization was facing was to sustain the momentum for change after the basic structures had been established. The mechanisms of communication and feedback, evaluation and reward of meritorious performance have all been used to ensure that the evolutionary process would continue.

Creating a culture of change

Article Abstract:

The analogy of a battle is used to illustrate the process of organizational change planning and its implementation. Corporate managers should emulate great military commanders who had the flexibility to change their strategy and tactics in accordance with a given situation. Thus, management practices that had been proven to be effective in the past may no longer be so. Corporations should persist in reinventing themselves if they wish to remain competitive.
