7 steps to finding the best group or the best recruit

Article Abstract:

There are a number of steps involved in finding the best physician recruit or group medical practice. These include networking for prospects, telephone interviewing, checking the physician's background, the interview, informal get-togethers, meeting the spouse and making the final decision. Groups should not choose a physician unless they feel that they are making a good choice, because not selecting a physician is better than selecting an inappropriate one.

A little help from your friends

Article Abstract:

Nurse practitioners and physician assistants can be cost-effective adjuncts of any medical practice if properly trained. They can be used for back and front-office functions, and they often add an element of caring to the practice. Additionally, they often elicit a more direct response from patients about the underlying reason for an office visit. Physician assistants can perform many of the same tasks as doctors and at half the cost.

What's your on-line image?

Article Abstract:

World Wide Web sites are under development to provide physician profiles. Many physicians support these sites because they want the public to have access to physician information. The physicians want to ensure that the information is correct and sites should be checked on a regular basis. Costs and benefits of a site must be weighed to determine its value.
