A 34-year-old man with ulcerative colitis and a large perirectal mass

Article Abstract:

A rare case of a simultaneous occurrence of a perirectal abscess and ulcerative colitis in a 34-year-old man is presented. The case is clinically determined as a combination of rectal carcinoma and a perirectal abscess and fistula whereas anatomical and pathological examinations reveal that it is a neuroendocrine carcinoma of the rectum associated with ulcerative colitis.

Case 8-2004: A 28-year-old man with abdominal pain, fever, and a mass in the region of the pancreas

Article Abstract:

A case study of a twenty eight year old man who was hospitalized in the U.S. because of fever and abdominal pain and whose anatomical diagnosis reported tuberculosis lymphadenitis is presented. The case showed that the reported cases of pancreatic tuberculosis might actually represent cases of tuberculosis in the peripancreatic lymph nodes.
