A framework for managing risk

Article Abstract:

UK nurses should regard clinical supervision as a way of helping them in their professional development, thus reducing risk to patients. However, they should also be aware that clinical supervision records may have to be disclosed in court, so they are not the most appropriate way of expressing frustration or anger. In law, it is likely that records created through employment will be regarded as being owned by the employer. Self-employed nurses or health visitors will legally own any supervision records.
