A multicenter, placebo-controlled pilot study of intravenous immune globulin treatment of antiphospholipid syndrome during pregnancy

Article Abstract:

Intravenous immune globulin for the treatment of antiphospholipid syndrome in pregnant women may prevent fetal growth restriction. Beyond that, it did not improve neonatal outcomes compared to heparin and low-dose aspirin. Antiphospholipid syndrome is an autoimmune disease that can affect the fetus.

The use of cDNA microarray to identify differentially expressed labor-associated genes within the human myometrium during labor

Article Abstract:

The analysis of gene expression during human labor in the myometrium with the help of microarray technology is discussed. Fifty-six differentially expressed genes in the myometrium obtained from patients in spontaneous labor are identified with the help of cDNA microarray.
