AMA residency, work force policies draw IMGs' ire

Article Abstract:

International medical graduates (IMGs) from the Michigan State Medical Society are calling for the American Medical Association (AMA) to clarify its policy on IMGs. The group nearly called for a vote of no confidence of AMA board members for what it calls four or five contradictory policies. It wants organized medicine to affirm its policy against discrimination of foreign-trained physicians and plans to introduce a resolution on the subject to the AMA House of Delegates.
