What's the fuss over PPE?

Article Abstract:

The need to adopt safety measures in the corporate environment has raised issues on whom the cost of purchasing personal protective equipment (PPE) would be burdened. ANSI standards: a starting point for your workplace first-aid kit

Article Abstract:

The American National Standards Institute's (ANSI's) 'Minimum Requirements for Workplace First Aid Kits' can be a useful guideline for employers who want to have a good, basic first-aid kit in their workplace. Employers, however, are advised not to blindly follow the standard and, instead, temper its decision with the opinion of the medical community. For instance, mouth-to-barrier devices are not among the standard's minimum fill requirements despite that not using such a device entails risk of contracting AIDS or hepatitis during rescue breathing.
