Nurse specialist Jonathan Canham has set up an innovative palliative care service in the private sector at London Bridge Hospital, part of private healthcare provider HCA group. The service received a special commendation from the Healthcare Commission in 2005, and in September 2006, Jonathan was presented the Nursing Practice Award at the first ever Laing and Bulsson Independent Healthcare Awards in London for developing and implementing procedures that transformed the quality of patients' life.
