Are these diet pills deadly? There's an herbal supplement on store shelves that could be hazardous to your health, and the government knows it. Ten years after the first ephedra scare, Glamour asks why so little has been done to protect women

Article Abstract:

The FDA has received over 1,500 adverse event reports associated with the weight loss herb ephedra. Unlike prescription drugs and over the counter medications, ephedra and other herbal supplements, are not subject to rigorous safety testing by the FDA. Ephedra has been linked to 81 deaths, and hundreds of heart attacks, strokes, seizures and other adverse reactions.

A world without breast cancer?

Article Abstract:

The different ways in which breast cancer is treated in different countries is discussed. The United States has pink ribbons, walkathons and support groups for breast cancer affected patients, but in some countries, women with the cancer are the 'walking dead', but some gutsy pioneers believe that things will change with help and support from the people.

Article Abstract:

There are several good alternatives to the traditional birth control pill, some of which offer the same health benefits and even better protection against pregnancy. A review on the different methods of birth control available in the US includes the Ortho Evra Patch, the diaphragm, and the intrauterine device (IUD).
