Assessing mixed venous and arterial leg ulcers

Article Abstract:

Some of the key points in the assessment and management of the mixed venous and arterial leg ulcers are discussed which would enable the readers to consider their own practice against expert opinion. It is found that many patients can be successfully managed with reduced compression, however, the decision to take the treatment should be based on a detailed assessment and in consultation with a multidisciplinary team that must include a vascular consultant.
