Black women's perceptions of menopause and the use of HRT

Article Abstract:

The study shows that the African American and minority ethnic (BME) women have completely different perceptions of menopause and different ways of managing its symptoms. BME women do not have a very clear understanding about the term menopause and hence tend to use various natural coping methods instead of going for the HRT treatment, which should be completely avoided for a better treatment of the symptoms.
