Budget outline earmarks fund for Medicare reform

Article Abstract:

The Congress has passed a fiscal year 2004 budget resolution that includes more than $500 billion for health programs and research. It is also setting aside $400 billion to be spent over the next 10 years to reform Medicare and add a prescription drug benefit.

Current Medicare reform bill only a start, not a finish

Article Abstract:

The current Medicare reform bill is flawed and will need many corrections if the Congress passes the legislation. The reasons why the flawed bill will be passed are discussed.
