Bush policy: attention turns to existing human ES cells

Article Abstract:

The article discusses the aspect of federal funding for the embryonic stem cell research. The announcement by United States president George Bush of his ES-cell policy which couples with the House of Representatives' decision to ban human somatic-cell nuclear transfer experimentation has placed tight constraints on the stem-cell research for funding only 60 existing cell lines and not supporting work on any new cell lines.

Kass to lead ES bioethics panel
