CEOs to get safety grades

Article Abstract:

The Workers' Compensation Premium System is an occupational health and safety program developed and enforced by the Victoria, Australia's government safety and health agency, Victorian WorkCover Authority. The program aims to measure employers' safety performance across industries through the use of report cards issued by the agency. Through this system, companies will know how effective they are in providing workplace safety.

Safety in Japan: better than before

Article Abstract:

The Japan Industrial Safety and Health Association reports that the number of workplace accidents has dropped considerably since the 1960s but there is still room for improvement. The organization reports that 600,000 are involved in workplace accidents with 2,300 fatalities every year but the number is smaller compared to international standards and previous statistics because of laws and private sector involvement.

Safety and health in the sex industry

Article Abstract:

Sexually transmitted deseases are usually the main perceived health threat in the sex industry. However, research by Workplace Services, an Australian occupational safety and health consulting company, has found that the greatest threat was in workplace safety issues such as fire protection.
