Celiac symptoms varied, disease not so rare

Article Abstract:

A study by the University of Maryland Center for Celiac Research found that one in 133 Americans not considered at risk for celiac disease may have serious digestive disease. Hence, the University of Maryland aims to urge primary care physicians to enhance their suspicion that celiac disease could be the cause of a variety of patientEs symptoms.

SARS prompts added vigilance, worry over spread of infection

The spread of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) is forcing doctors to take remedial measures. The various recommendations as proposed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for ambulatory care settings, including suspected cases to be reported to local health departments, are highlighted.
