Changing inotrope infusions: Which technique is best?

Article Abstract:

Inotrope infusions are widely used in pediatric intensive care units to achieve cardiovascular stability in critically ill patients, and these infusions are administered continuously with frequent changeover. An audit was carried out to find out the best technique to change over the infusion and its effects on the patients' mean arterial blood pressure (MABP), and the results highlighted switching as the favored technique which had lesser impact on the MABP.
