Changing premed requirements and the medical curriculum

Article Abstract:

The Council on Medical Education was created and published by the American Medical Association on the first minimal standards for medical schools and an ideal medical curriculum a century ago. It has proposed changes that can have dramatic improvements in physicians' interaction with patients as well as structure of the delivery system to ensure that patients receive known effective interventions.
