Charting new waters

Article Abstract:

The updated Colley symptom-assessment chart for patients with bladder incontinence is described. The Colley model has been adapted to take into account new terminology and research but remains useful for planning a patient's referral or treatment. Urinary incontinence could be due to the patient's incapacity to react to bladder signals, a voiding problem or storage problem. The assessment considerations of the Colley model are explained.
