Chlamydia - a disease more common than the flu

Article Abstract:

Chlamydia is a symptomless disease of the reproductive organ that can cause infertility, if left untreated. The disease, which has already become the most commonly reported sexually-transmitted disease in the US, can be easily detected through a urine test and treated with a single dose of antibiotic.

Melanoma

Article Abstract:

Melanoma can be removed surgically if it is detected early, but 15% to 20% of patients who have surgery experience spreading of the cancer. People at risk for skin cancer should check themselves quarterly and see a doctor yearly. People with light skin and hair color have a higher risk.
