Research presented concerns the health effects of beryllium inhalation resulting from the release of beryllium into the atmosphere from the Rocky Flats Nuclear Weapons Plant in Colorado. Topics examined include beryllium release estimates, medical conditions caused by beryllium, and calculations of human heath risks with regard to atmospheric transport of beryllium.

Research presented concerns cancer mortality in Minnesota's four agricultural regions, focusing on the identification of agriculturally-related cancers. Findings suggest the need for more evaluations of the carcinogenic potential of ethylenebisdithiocarbamates, or fungacides that are known to cause thyroid cancer in laboratory rats.
