Classroom capers

Article Abstract:

Issues concerning the importance of teaching children about nursing are discussed. Particular attention is given to nurses visiting schools on May 12 Nursing Day and teaching the children about the complexities of the job and about children's expectations of nurses.

Can the NHS make their dream come true?

Many young people in the UK are not attracted to nursing, regarding it as a profession with a low status. They are also deterred by the fact that student nurses receive a bursary and must work to obtain additional funds.
