Congress in Dallas: focus on the future

Article Abstract:

The 83rd National Safety Council Congress and Exposition is scheduled for Nov. 9-10, 1995 in Dallas, TX. This yearly event will attract around 8,500 safety and health professionals from all over the world to exchange information on new developments in the field and formulate plans for the industry. The focal point of the five-day activity will be the Blockbuster sessions which will devote 90 minutes to the presentation of significant information in all areas covered by the safety, health and environmental fields.

Tough issues addressed at congress

Article Abstract:

The National Safety Council held its 80th annual congress last Nov 1992. Although an improvement in the US' safety status was reported in the past year, the business sector's plans to reduce expenses may result in decreased safety measures. Several suggestions were made to promote safety and health in the workplace. Special sessions were conducted to discuss important issues such as the OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) reform, motor vehicle safety and indoor air quality.

Congress Blockbusters explore today's hot issues

Article Abstract:

The Blockbuster Sessions are one of the highlights of the 1992 National Safety Council Congress and Exposition to be held on Nov 1-5, 1992 in Orlando, FL. A total of 15 sessions will be conducted, each of which will last for 90 minutes. Session topics include the effects of the Americans with Disabilities Act on different sectors, the measures adopted to protect medical personnel from blood-transmitted diseases, and the latest legislation on occupational health and safety.
