In utero erythrocyte transfusion for fetal xerocytosis associated with severe anemia and non-immune hydrops fetalis

Article Abstract:

Doctors report the case of a baby who was treated before birth for fetal xerocytosis. This genital disorder causes the destruction of red blood cells, which in turn causes anemia and an accumulation of fluid under the skin and in the abdominal cavity.

Contemporary management of preterm premature rupture of membranes (PPROM): A survey of maternal-fetal medicine providers

Article Abstract:

Variations in the management for women were characterized with preterm premature rupture of membranes (PPROM) among maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) specialists in the context of recommendations for clinical practice and evidence-based practice. The findings indicated that although management practices for women with PPROM are consistent with the recommendations, variations exist in the maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) providers.

Ultrasonographic assessment of cervical length in triplet pregnancies

Article Abstract:

Ultrasound scans should be used to measure the length of the cervix in women with a triplet pregnancy. In a study of 32 triplet pregnancies, the cervix began shortening much sooner than in women with a single pregnancy. This could be a sign that the woman is entering premature labor.
