Article Abstract:

Information is provided on the prevalence of the use of prescription drugs among pregnant women in the US. Incidence of hospitalized rhabdomyolysis in patients treated with lipid-lowering drugs

Article Abstract:

A study is conducted to estimate the incidence of rhabdomyolsis in patients treated with different statins and fibrates along with the ambulatory setting. The results reveal that rhabdomyolsis risk is similar and low for monotherapy with atorvastatin, pravastatin and simvastatin and the combined statin-fibrate use increases risk in older patients with diabetes mellitus.
