Cord serum immunoglobulin E related to the environmental contamination of human placentas with organochlorine compounds

Article Abstract:

Research indicates that a link exists between higher levels of total immunoglobulin E in infants and exposure to organochlorine compounds. Data were obtained from studies on placentas obtained from Slovakian mothers, with one group living in an urban region with high levels of industrial pollution and another group living in a rural region without industrial pollution.

Effect of neonatal exposure to estrogenic compounds on development of the excurrent ducts of the rat testis through puberty to adulthood

Article Abstract:

Researchers exposed neonatal rats to estrogens, environmental estrogens and tamoxifen to determine if such exposure would alter the structure of their testicular excurrent ducts. The excurrent ducts were found to be susceptible to impairment by neonatal exposure to estrogen.
