The private finance initiative (PFI) is the biggest building procurement programme, in the history of NHS, which aims to raise the quality of health care facilities by utilizing the skills and expertise of companies in private sector. The project is service led and centered on patient need and both the trust and strategic health authority agree that the scheme would be affordable and deliverable for the wider area and the main health authorities.
