Counting the cost of the new pay deal

The new agenda for change in pay system in the U.K. is fast becoming a reality for thousands of nurses. In total 12 early implementer (IE) trusts are working since June 2003 to install the system.

The power to prescribe

Article Abstract:

A majority of the population believes that giving authority to nurses for prescribing medication to the patients will speed up and improve patient care, whereas the others think that it may also lead to an increase in the number of deaths. The analysis shows that in spite of all the barriers, the prospect of giving such an authority to nurses will surely prove to be a great achievement in the medical field.
