Cytoplasmic heretics

Article Abstract:

Concerns involving the inheritance of supramolecular structure and the role of the cell cortex in heredity and development resulted from the ideals of different research traditions that were based on conflicting questions, phenomena and solutions. Compared with the concept of evolution by symbiosis, the inheritance of cytoplasmic structure is not well-accepted in contemporary biology. Although evidence surrounds extra-chromosomal heredity, they are still treated as exceptions to the general rules of biology.

Mutability and diversity in the biological sciences: a pagan perception of nature

Article Abstract:

The methodological impoverishment of experience at the levels of sensation and perception estranges biological sciences from nature. Scientific method is associated with a civilized perception of nature. In order to regain the pagan perspective of nature, biological experiments must modify its way of perceiving nature in fragments. Biologists should do experiments out of doors and thereby be able to appreciate nature as a primal, mutable and whole entity with diversity.

On learning to see what is not there

Article Abstract:

Art develops one's perception of things that are normally taken for granted. Figuratively, art enhances the awareness of hidden qualities and indirectly makes us notice life's subtleties. It also encourages change from routine habits of perception. It leads us to assess the way we go about our conventional affairs. Such influence of art can be achieved through wise instruction to inculcate appreciation of life to students.
