Dcir deficiency causes development of autoimmune diseases in mice due to excess expansion of dendritic cells

Article Abstract:

The article explains the pathological significance of the dendritic cell immunoreceptor (Dcir), which is mainly expresses in the dendritic cells (DCs) in humans. Dcir is found to lead to excess expansion of the dendritic cells, which leads to the development of autoimmune diseases in mice.

In vivo antigen challenge in celiac disease indentifies a single transglutaminase-modified peptide as the dominant A-gliadin T-cell epitope

Article Abstract:

The peptide of A-gliadin amino acids 56-75 has been shown to be effective in inhibiting celiac disease. Understanding this function may lead to an antigen-specific treatment.
