De Witt to succeed

Article Abstract:

The newly-appointed Chief Executive of King's Healthcare NHS Trust, London, England, has come to the post via a career in nursing. Ron De Witt qualified as a nurse in Canada in 1970. He worked in nursing posts for 21 years in England and New Zealand but moved into general management in 1991 with a post at the Royal Hull Hospitals NHS Trust. He became Leeds Health Authority Chief Executive in 1996. De Witt appreciates that his new post with King's Healthcare NHS Trust is a huge responsibility but he relishes the challenge. He is keen to ensure that staff have positive working conditions.
