A comparison of anticipatory and postprocedure pain perception in patients who undergo urodynamic procedures

Article Abstract:

A study is conducted to compare anticipatory and postprocedure pain perception in women with urinary incontinence who underwent urodynamic testing, and risk factors that predispose patients to increased pain perception are examined. It was found that patients undergoing urodynamic testing anticipates higher degree of discomfort than they perceive during the procedure.

A histologic and immunohistochemical analysis of defective vaginal healing after continence taping procedures: A prospective case-controlled pilot study

Article Abstract:

A study is conducted to investigate vaginal rejection of polypropylene mesh after continence taping procedures. Removal of the prosthesis and surrounding tissue at various times for the 7 women resulted in histopathologic findings that suggested an immunologic reaction.
