Duration of humoral immunity to common viral and vaccine antigens

Article Abstract:

Studies to assess the humoral immunity after vaccination or natural infection for several common pathogens and role played by memory B cells are conducted. Findings suggest that peripheral memory B cells and antibody-secreting plasma cells might represent independently regulated cell populations and might play different roles in the maintenance of protective immunity.
