Egress for all

Article Abstract:

The introduction of the the UK Disability Discrimination Act 1999 will place the onus on building owners to provide adequate evacuation methods for people with disabilities. A lack of legislation has led to many buildings offering unsuitable escape routes or being completely prohibitive for disabled people. Managing evacuation routes requires the provision of structural devices which help carry a disabled person out of the building, while also offering assistance should the disabled person require help.

How to boldly go

Article Abstract:

One should first find a location to defecate in that is on high ground and at least 150 feet away from water sources. A hole should be dug that is six to eight inches deep so that microorganisms involved in decomposition can reach the defecation. Look out for poison oak, ivy, or sumac.
