Exercise of the month: pull-ups and pull-downs

Article Abstract:

Pull-ups and pull-downs can be used to develop most of the muscles of the back, depending on grip, body position, control and mental effort. The exercises can be made more effective by moving in slow motion with the weight low and pushing with the elbows.

Circuit weight training involves six to ten exercises performed within a specified time. Other exercise programs that combine weight training and aerobics are peripheral heart action training and parcourse training.
