First molecular characterization of HIV-1 Tunisian strains

Article Abstract:

The authors discuss their study on epidemiology of HIV-infection in Tunisia. They report that subtype B dominates in Tunisia, and suggest the probability that HIV-infection origin might have been imported and the importance of further investigation of potential diversification of HIV-1 isolates in Tunisia.

Relationship between antiretroviral drug plasma concentrations and viral load in children

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on treatment of HIV-infected children. The relationship between plasma concentrations of antiretroviral drugs administered during daily medical consultations has been investigated via the use of the random sample timing approach, and the details are reported.

HHV-8 shedding among HIV-infected women

Article Abstract:

The authors evaluate human herpesvirus 8 transmission risk among HIV-positive women. The results support the hypothesis of low efficiency of human herpesvirus 8 sexual transmission from HIV-positive women to men.
