Physicians should be clear about their fees, either by posting the fees in the waiting room or supplying a pamphlet outlining the charges for procedures. Although some physicians are concerned that publishing their fees will lead to price competition among doctors, this type of competition will bring physicians who overcharge into line and allow patients to make informed choices.

Re-establishing this relationship will require focusing on the patient's welfare over other interests, using technological advances when needed but not to replace caring, upholding life's sanctity and nurturing their own moral center.
