Fraud audit

Article Abstract:

Health care providers can minimize the possibility of health care fraud audits by training staff well. Billing mistakes are especially easy to make. Detailed records should be kept by providers in case there are questions in the audit process. Signature stamps should be given special considerations before they are used by others. Providers should also keep billing profiles, take care with collection efforts and cooperate with auditors.
