Ghost of gay 'sickness' haunts nursing

Article Abstract:

Aversion therapy was widely used in the UK in the 1950s and 1960s to try to 'cure' homosexuals. This involved associating pictures of naked men with vomiting or electric shocks. In the US, some anti-gay campaigners are continuing to call for homosexuals to be treated, this time using reparative therapy.
